Bin Laden Had a Point?
"When I see this, I wonder whether [Osama] Bin Laden had a point," wrote one, referring to his involvement in 9/11, it is words like these that are making the controversy more than it should be.
Just recently the Jersey Shore has been airing it Italy and it seems that the natives are not liking what they see. MTV may have made a mistake airing the controversial show before starting filming for the fifth season, Italians are deeply distubed at what they are watching and they are not holding in their opinions. Many nasty comments have been said about the popular American show.
Columnist Roberto Del Bove in particular had some very harsh words, "They embody the worst stereotypes of Italians, multiplied by thousands and Americanized, Slicked hair, exaggerated narcissism…. outlandish eccentricity." Yes, these are harsh words but is that not what the show is generally about and what draws in the large crowd that it has made it MTV's top rated show of all time. I believe many can see where Roberto is coming from showing pride in his country however his post on the MTV Italia Web page does not change the fact that many people are still excited about the European adventure the cast is about to face.

Shore Scores Hghest Ratings
It seems like MTV hit a home run at the Jersey Shore. With the show just ending its third season the ratings have never been higher! Thursday nights season finale of the show grabbed the Jersey Shore it's highest season finale yet with a whopping 7.6 million viewers, up from the past 5.7 and 2.6 in the first season. This season premiere, a 8.4 million watchers, landed the show with the networks most watched show. All together this seasons viewership increased by 196 percent from its first season.
It is safe to say that fans of theshow are less than excited about the upcoming fourth season in Italy, being filmed in April. The upcoming season is drowned in controversy with many Italian Americans feeling that Italy is an insult to actual Italians. Either way controversy has a tendency to bring in more viewers, perhaps we will see more rising numbers from 495 Productions or could this be the finale party for the Jersey Shore cast-members.
Deena's on the Hunt!
Italy better look out because Deena is on the prowl, for men that is. Deena Cortese of the Jersey Shore is looking forward to the upcoming season in Italy and mainly for one reason, the men! "I can't wait to go there. Everyone talks so well about it. I can't wait to see what it's all about...I'm excited to see the scenery, the culture. And Italian men shold be interesting--a lot different than Jersey!"

However, thankfully for her the show is a lot less popular in Italy possibly making it easier for her to snag a guy. Maybe learning some pick up lines could help her out, "I really want to find out what 'blast in a glass' is in Italian because that's my nickname. I need to know what that means so I can tell all the Italian men."

Jersey in Paris in Las Vegas?
The Jersey Shore crew were living it up last weekend in Paris Las Vegas for some of the resorts newest attractions. Their events varied from hosting night clubs, shopping, lounging around in the beer garden and celebrating a 24th birthday!
Early Saturday two members of the Jersey Shore cast members were seen enjoying some food and drinks at The Chateau Beer Garden. Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Deena "The Walking Holiday Cortese" scarffed down raspberry mojitos and good old italian pizza with ther own friends and family at the newest addition to the Paris Resort and the first beer garden in Las Vegas.
The two spent time shopping at the new Sugar Factory buying items such as Hello Kitty Pops, T-shirts and spending almost a total of 1,000 dollars. Deena later joined fellow co-star Sammi "sweetheart" Giancola for her birthday at the Sugar Factory where the two enjoyed ice cream, milshakes, cookies and every sweet imaginable! After the feast the two headed upstairs to party the rest of the night away Chateau Nightclubs and Gardens.

Famous Punch Lands Ferro in Army
Everyone remembers the famous sucker punch that left Snookie on the floor during the first season, but what happened to her attacker? It had seemed that Brad Ferro had gotten his fifteen seconds of fame and then quickly diminished once more to a simple nobody. However, that is because Brad has been busy. After the episode aired over a year ago Brad has lost everything. He was hastely fired from his job as a gym teacher in New York and sources say has yet to find another job. Ferro's family are outraged saying that the show "owes" him for the amount of publcity his stunt gave the show. Brad's father claims it was all in self defense against Nicole "Snooki" Pollizi when all who watched the show knows it can be blamed on nothing more than the effect of alcohol.
Ferro's life has been turned upside down for a kid who has never been in trouble before this, his father explains. He has been date-less, job-less and in debt for a year now and he hopes that a career in the Army will turn it all back around again. Brad joined the military as a Cavalry Scout, he left for basic training in Fort Knox, Ky. this past February. His family prays that this will give him a fresh start.
Arrivederci Jersey
Good bye Jersey Shore, Hello Italy! After three seasons of the Jersey Shore in the United States it is Europes turn to host the party animals. The castmates will taking the show back to the guido's "home country" (irony: half the castmembers are not even Italian) in which the shows general theme is based upon. Being filmed late this spring the cast will cook up some new shenanigans in the Old Country but how will this transittion go over in Italy?
When the show first aired the Italian-American society were at arms. Italians were disgraced at the way the cast portrayed the society; stating that there was much more to the Italian culture than just gym, tan and laundry. The cast members are set out to prove just that in the new season, it has already been scheduled for the cast to have a traditional family dinner hosted by Vinny's distant family.
Will Italy embraace the group? Or will they have the same initial reaction as we did here in America. Whatever it may be we won't have to wait long, the show will air late in 2011.

Spring Break For Jersey Shore
It seems that St. John's students arent the only ones enjoying spring break! Jersey Shore castmembers Deena Cortese and Pauly "D" DelVecchio hosted MTV's Spring Break this year in Las Vegas. It seemed that both were having splash of a time until Deena almost made a splash herself. While dancing and enjoying her new fame Deena slipped on the platform and was very close to ending up in the pool! Luckly she was able to steady herself and was quickly back up and dancing again. While Deena was playing with her crowd of fans co-star Pauly D was working the mix-table. MTV's Spring Break is known to be the place to be for college students during and by choosing stars of the biggest party show on television right now I'm postive this years will be no let down.
Snooki Domination
You can't turn the corner these days without seeing or hearing about Nicole Pollizi. Snooki as she is better known as from MTV's hit reality show Jersey Shore is sweeping the nation. She has appeared in commercials, television shows, sports events, she has even published her own book and now she will appear on one of the most influential magazines in America. Rolling Stone magazine will feature America's #1 Party Girl in all of her pickle eating glory.
However, Nicole's interview expresses how she really feels about her portrayl on the show. "If I do something stupid, which is pretty much the whole time, I hate it," she told the magazine. "I just hate it. Obviously, they're only going to put the good stuff in, and the good stuff is us drunk, so all I'm seeing is me drunk and falling down. That's how I am when I party, but some of the stuff I do is, like, 'Really, Nicole?' I look like a freakin' alcoholic. I'm like, 'You're sweating, your makeup is running, you look gross.' I just look like s**t."
Although she seems humiliated from the show Snooki says she is not done with reality television and will do whatever spin-offs of the show come her way. Snooki hopes to one day build an empire, and turn up like Jessica Simspon and her brands, stating a normal job is just not in the cards for her.

Jersey Gets RAW
Even if you have never seen an episode of the Jersey Shore it is likely you have heard about Snook's infamous blow to the face during the first season. Well it seems that her little "tiff" at the bar has inspired a new side of Nicole Polizzi as she is now scheduled to make an apperance on next weeks episode of USA's WWE Monday Night Raw. It is not clear yet if she intends to wrestle of not but it is certain that she will be involved in some way.
Now Snooki is not the first Jersey Shore guidette to take on the ring fellow castmates Jenni Farley (JWoww) and Angelina Pivarnick have already appeared on TNA iMPACT! JWoww showed her skills in the ring by taking on iMPACT wrestler Cookie in October. She racked up a nice 15,000 for the right and said she enjoyed her time immensly yet has not had another shot at it. Angelina on the otherhand seems to want to make a career out of it. After her first match Angelina is hooked, so hooked she is starting her training next week at the Independent Wrestling Foundation in West Paterson, NJ. Unfortunetly her training is not in time for her next apperance on the show scheduled to air this Thursday; Angelina will be fighting in a six-knockout tag team match.
Although she lacks professional training im sure her match will be no problem compared to the fights she had with her previous castmates; one including newest wrestler Snooki and may i add I think we all know who came out victorious (5'3 with the poof). These Jersey girls pack a lot of punch!

"I was Snooki"
It has become a guilty pleasure for almost every age; whether they’d like to admit it or not. The MTV produced recent “hit” The Jersey Shore has millions of viewers tuning in each week to see the cast raise hell at the infamous party beach Seaside Heights, New Jersey. The episodes are filled with hookups, breakups, parties and fights all that you would expect from MTV, but who was the mastermind that came up with such a controversial show? The original “Snooki” herself, SallyAnn Salsano.
SallyAnn Salsano was formerly the creator and executive producer of a completely different genre of television on HGTV the home and garden network. Salsano was the originator of the reality design competition Design Star, in a complete twist of irony SallyAnn was fired and replaced by popular CBS producer Mark Burnett, who is known for shows such as Survivor and Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?, the same day that The Jersey Shore aired. The show has set records for the network with an astonishing 8.9 viewers the highest ever ratings for an MTV series. Viewers love it so much a fourth season has just been signed and is rumored to be set in Italy this spring.
To anyone that knows her Salsano is said to be the epitome of a guido or guidette in her case. Cast member Pauly DelVecchio says “she belongs in the house with us”. She states, “…at the end of the day, I'm an Italian girl from Long Island, my dad worked in sanitation, both of my parents drive Cadillacs, my dad wears a diamond-encrusted Yankee symbol around his neck. It doesn't get more guido than in my house. People are like, 'You're making fun of them.' And I'm like, 'No, I am them’…. "I'm not poking fun, this is really what it is. It's not something I'm embarrassed of. I was those kids. I was Snooki. I woke up and was like, 'Oh, that was a crazy night.' That's what you do."
SallyAnn Salsano has created a cultural sensation that has tied in her life as well as a cast members all can laugh at and enjoy. She will continue to produce the Jersey Shore as well as two new spin-offs of the show including three of the original cast. I think it’s safe to say that she can’t go wrong when it comes to entertaining TV.
